Don’t quit your day job. You need the comfort and security a regular paycheck brings and most likely would not do well considering all the risks starting a running your own business would bring.  If you have a passion and desire to succeed, then take as many courses as possible to learn the skills required to become an elan'trepreneur.  Find mentors, and successful people to emulate.  Start taking small risks until you feel comfortable enough to take larger (calculated risks).  Because when it comes right down to it, what usually separates people who work for others and those that work for themselves is the level of risk one is willing and able to take.
